Colfrin Plus

Type: Syrup base

Composition:

Ambroxol Hydrochloride  IP   15mg

 Terbutaline Sulphate        IP   1.25 mg

 Guaifenesin                        IP   50 mg

 Menthol                              IP  2.5 mg

Description:

 Helps in liquifying of mucus in the nose, windpipe and lungs and makes it easier to cough out and stimulates mucociliary action and clears the air passage in the respiratory tract and thereby relieves cough and helps in expectoration.

Indications:                                                      

• Productive cough associated with bronchospasm in conditions such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
• Indicated to treat cold, cough and congestion; tracheobronchitis; pneumoconiosis; wheezing and shortness of breath from lungs (e.g., asthma, emphysema)

 

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity

Side-effects:

Gastrointestinal side-effects may occur.

Dosage and Directions for use:

5-10 ml (one teaspoon) three times a day or as directed by a physician.

Precautions:

Caution should be observed during the condition of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, peptic ulceration.
